Fresh, Appealing Aesthetics for the Nightlife Presence
As a leader in the energy drinks market and a powerful representative of the younger generation, Red Bull required a fresh and appealing look for their nightlife promotional clips.
They required a new concept to reflect an innovative approach to the product, a new promotional aesthetic with a contemporary feel, and the display of commercial details.
Aside from the promotional dynamics, Red Bull also required that the concept should be appealing to the target market within the nightlife environment with the purpose of driving sales.Back to top
Energy, Movement, Colour and Differentiation
The concept developed for Red Bull is based around the unique personality of the brand and the On-Premise experience of its target customers. This has been achieved through a combination of vivid colours, dynamic environment and high contrast between design elements. Additionally, we were conscious to work within Red Bull’s current preferred design style.
The first aspect that was developed was the environment. In order to highlight the new nightlife style, we approached a minimalist display of shape and colour to resemble dynamic clubbing and rising energy levels. Additionally, a high contrast between the displayed product and the background was implemented in order to position Red Bull as the centrepiece of the overall concept. Respecting the client’s brand guidelines, we chose the most representative colours and element movement without affecting the product’s representation.
The final design creates synergy through detail and manages to represent a new vision of the brand’s presence within the nightlife environment.Back to top
A3 presentation display book
Respecting the client’s brand guidelines, we chose the most representative colours and element movement without affecting the product’s representation. The final design creates synergy through detail and manages to represent a new vision of the brand’s presence within the nightlife environment. For the delivery of the final design concept, we designed an A3 presentation display book, to allow our UK contacts within Red Bull to present the concept to their Head Office.
The display book chapters cover an in depth presentation of the complete underlying mechanisms of the promotional concept. We ensured that clarity was provided around research based upon perception and impulsive behaviour, plus academic insights on the use of colours in advertising. Additionally, mood boards were included to demonstrate the thought process that led to the finalised concept.
A detailed frame-by-frame storyboard demonstrated the narrative arc, thus providing a full understanding of the concept. A digital simulation was also provided for enhanced visual identification of the concept.Back to top
